2. The Union should be restored as quickly as possible. Pres. Lincoln was all about forgiving and moving on. Unfortunately for our nation and the South in particular Booth did a great disservice to them in assassinating Lincoln. Things would have gone much better had he lived to lead the reconciliation and reconstruction as he would have fought tooth and nail to keep people from taking advantage of the south.
